Opening for Post-Doctoral Research FellowStart date: Anytime after January 2008. The Resource-aware Programming (RAP) research group at Rice University conducts cutting edge research in building for challenging application domains. A recent overview of our research is available as a Google TechTalk. The National Science Foundation (NSF) and LogicBlox have kindly made funding available for a post-doctoral fellowship. The position is intended for promising young researcher to lead the continued development and evaluation of the Concoqtion programming language. The post-doctoral fellow will play a key role in planning and shaping the future development of the Concoqtion system, and demonstrating its effectiveness for building high-quality software. The position allows for significant latitude in defining the candidate's research program during the fellowship. The position will be supervised jointly by Walid Taha (Rice University), Jeremy Siek (Colorado), and Emir Pasalic (LogicBlox). The ideal candidate has a background and interest in one or more of the following areas:
